秦正红博士,教授
1994获美国宾州医学院药理学博士学位。1994-1999年在美国国家卫生研究院(NIH)从事博士后工作,1999-2002年在哈佛大学任讲师。2003年引进苏州大学,现为苏州大学药理学特聘教授,博导,苏州市衰老与神经疾病重点实验室主任。

主要研究方向
1. 神经退行性疾病致病分子机制的研究:以神经兴奋性毒素、化学药物毒素、致病突变基因表达制作帕金森病、亨廷顿舞蹈病等的动物及细胞模型,研究自噬/溶酶体机制在疾病的致病分子机制中发挥的重要作用。
2. 缺血性脑卒中及缺血预适应分子机制研究:利用大、小鼠中动脉缺血模型研究自噬/溶酶体途径、内质网应激在缺血性脑卒中及缺血预适应中的分子作用机制。
3. 生物毒素药用开发:对中华眼镜蛇毒进行毒理药理研究,经物理改性使蛇毒减毒增效,开发蛇毒活性成分在镇痛和治疗自身免疫性疾病治疗中的药用价值并开发成临床治疗的不同剂型的药物。
